    500K+records per claims export

    Built the claims export pipeline that delivers to Medicare and other data partners on deadline, and moved API keys and sensitive data out of code into cryptographic storage without breaking existing features.

  • HR and payroll software

    Drove the architecture of a digital handbook product and took it to market, after four years helping design and ship the benefits enrollment platform. Mentored a junior engineer to senior along the way.

About me

I’m Larry Beall, a senior software engineer working remotely from Delaware, Ohio. Phoenix Powered is my independent practice.

I’ve been shipping production software for more than 15 years, across banking, payments, travel, HR and payroll, insurance, and consumer apps. I’ve led teams of up to 21 developers, but I’m happiest when I’m still writing code on the hardest problems.

I love working with startups, and I’m just as glad to be brought in to review a platform or get a stalled one moving again.
